Operating in North America and throughout the world, the Client is a leading manufacturer, distributor and marketer of chemical products to the automotive maintenance and repair markets.
The Client used JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 8.10, which was nearing the end of support. Soon there would be no updates, fixes, security alerts or upgrade scripts. By the following year, the tax, legal and regulatory updates would be terminated. The Client needed to upgrade quickly. Cost and user acceptance of a web-based system concerned the Client, who had experimented with the web interface of release 8.10 and received mixed response from their user community.
