Our History
Corning Data Services® (CDS) was formed in 1980, with the primary focus of reselling and implementing MRP (Material Requirements Planning) software for mid-size manufacturing companies. In order to better serve these customers, CDS became an IBM reseller in 1984. By the late 80s and early 90s, companies were looking to integrate even more of their functions to address an ever increasing competitive environment.
It was during this time that JD Edwards emerged with its expansion of MRP software, JD Edwards World. The World product had integrated applications for all major enterprise functions that appealed to most industries. In 1993, CDS signed a partner agreement with JD Edwards founder, Ed McVaney, to become a services provider for JD Edwards customers. By 1995, CDS was a Certified Reseller of JD Edwards software.
Presently, CDS is one of the oldest and largest resellers of Oracle’s JD Edwards software in the USA, with a staff of professionals experienced in every version and release of JD Edwards since World A5.2. CDS services, sells, and implements JD Edwards Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for businesses in the USA and across 3 continents through a global partner network.
